More About S.L.A.A.

S.L.A.A. is a relatively new based on the 12 Step Programme of Alcoholics Anonymous. Alcoholics Anonymous was founded in the 1930’s but the SLAA fellowship is relatively new in South Africa. We are already helping many Sex and Love Addicts find their way to recovery and we need your help to get the fellowship alive and growing. Check out our Service Chat Room for a list of service positions available.

A group or Intergroup does not speak for S.L.A.A. Anyone can become a member of S.L.A.A. if they have a desire to stop living out a pattern of sex and love addiction. They can then make International S.L.A.A. Online their Home Group if they so choose.

You have already taken a big step in seeking information about the programme of S.L.A.A. The next thing to do is to find out if there is a meeting near you. One of the greatest gifts to your sobriety is to meet with other sex and love addicts at an S.L.A.A. meeting. By giving and receiving support from others, we not only have a better chance of staying sober, but we also begin to learn how to engage with people in a non-addictive way.

The Twelve Step programme of S.L.A.A. has helped many people to break free from the grip of sex and love addiction. Perhaps today could be the start of your own recovery journey.
